With our Ore Dock, we knew from the outset that the converted lamps in the kit (fitted with LEDs) were very delicate. They are permanently mounted (glued) in place. Even in our own room, one or two lamps have been accidentally knocked off several times. This also happened at the exhibition in Osnabrück (one lamp was repairable, the other was not).

That's why we decided to convert them. A 3-pin socket strip from the electronics accessories is attached to the base of the lamp post.

A double-sided pin strip is glued into the cover plate of the dock from below so that the pins protrude upwards through the plate. The lamp post is then plugged onto these pins. If someone now bumps into the lamp post, it does not break off but slips out of the plug. We will also convert the converted lamps with double arms at the end of the dock in this way. The entire conversion is now a painstaking task.
This has two advantages:
1. The lamp can simply be plugged back in and that's it.
2. We can prepare replacement lamps for emergencies, which can also be easily plugged in.
Thanks for the great solution, Stefan.
