Bean's is a community of interests.
It all started with Bernd and Andy. At the end of 2007/beginning of 2008, Bernd asked Andy what his model railway dream was. Andy described his dream of long trains and multiple traction. Bernd's answer: “Then let's build an exhibition layout.”
So the two began construction in 2008. The name of the layout was derived from the first letters of their names – Be (Bernd) and An (Andy) make Bean, and the plural is Bean's.
Over the years, more and more people joined, and Bean's now consists of 14 people and one “side member.”
